Outlet Sales Supervisor

As an Outlet Sales Supervisor, you will be responsible for connecting with our customers, you will have a natural ability to understand and interpret their individual preferences and needs, guiding them to the furnishings that they are going to enjoy and love for many years. You will achieve this by being engaging and highly passionate about our brand, products, and the services we provide. Having energy, self-motivation, great communication skills and generally an interest in talking to our customers. We would want you to possess a professional yet personable attitude within the Outlet and able to excel when working individually, towards set objectives and goals, as well as working well as part of our team to meet collective Outlet targets.
The Supervisor will help support the day-to-day running of the Outlet with the management team. The role will help to deliver the continuous training and development of the Outlet Sales Advisors.
Key Duties and responsibilities
- Opening and closing the Outlet in the absence of the Outlet Management Team (covering days off when management on holiday/at meetings)
- A clear understanding of the Job Description, Key Duties and Responsibilities of an Outlet Advisor.
- Monitor individual and team targets and address any areas of concern through coaching and mentoring
- Ensuring cash handling procedures are adhered to and accurately completed daily
- Supervising Outlet Sales Advisors to ensure they are kept busy during quiet times and maintaining high standards making certain that the Outlet is always clean and properly organized
- Ordering of Outlet supplies
- Attending to customer requests or inquiries in the store
- Providing a friendly, helpful, and personalised customer experience by being knowledgeable about products and interested in furnishings
- Driving profitable sales through strong product knowledge, effective selling techniques
- Delivering/exceeding all agreed targets
- Spotting potential cross selling and upselling opportunities
- Ensuring the Outlet is merchandised in accordance with the agreed layout plan and always presented to a high standard, including cleaning and housekeeping
- Implementing and ending sales promotions and displays within defined timeframes
- Spotting and reporting stock discrepancies
- Maintaining the stockroom
- Complying with all The Cotswold Company policies and procedures
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the needs of the Outlet.
- Processing customer sales and payments
- Accurately process, count, and handle cash transactions, including taking card payment using a PDQ machine
- Responsible for ensuring security of the cash till when working from the front desk in accordance with policy and procedure
- Disassembling sold stock from shop floor when required
- Preparing/wrapping sold goods for delivery when required
- Booking deliveries when required by customer
- Maintain a tidy showroom and recycling waste where appropriate

A good level of physical fitness is required for manual handling, building and moving furniture
