Our client is looking for a Lead Technical Animator for a permanent position, located in Aberdeen

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensure compliance with Drawing Office Document control procedures.
- Liaise with Project Teams / Engineers / Clients as assigned by the Drawing Office Manager.
- Identify any key issues within their assigned task and inform D.O. Manager and Client / Individual who requisitioned the work.
- Assist Engineers et al by providing any relevant experience or information they may have access to.
- Establish working practices and standards of presentations.
- Train - mentor others to establish a team / working group.

**REQUIREMENTS**

**Qualifications (professional, technical, academic)**
- Must have a portfolio or demo reel that displays the ability to animate - model in 3D Studio MAX.
- Completed a degree or certificate in Illustration, Visual arts, Design or have equivalent related industry experience.
- Must have a good understanding of 3D computer graphics theory and practice.
- Must have a good understanding of shape, composition, motion, weight and balance.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work alone or collaboratively, often with multiple tasks and under deadline pressure.
- Must be open to direction and able to embrace change.

**Experience / Skills / Knowledge**
- Experience in a Lead Role (or similar supervisory Position)
- Recognised Animation training or similar experience
- Animation Courses to intermediate level.
- Modelling Courses to intermediate level.

**Technical / General Competencies**
- 3D Studio Max
- Microsoft Office Training
- Knowledge of all relevant File formats and a willingness to keep up to date with the 3D - Visual Industry / software progress.
- Databases

**Nice to have Experience / Skills / Knowledge / General Competencies**
- Experience with Autodesk Inventor - Mudbox - Maya is a plus
- The following attributes will be considered a plus: - Skill in drawing / sketching, conceptual story-boards.
- Basic knowledge of the Engineering Industry: - specifically Subsea - Field Architecture - Vessels.
