Our client has an exciting opportunity to join thier team as the **Head of Facilities**. You will join on a **full-time, permanent basis**, and will be based at **Kent and Canterbury Hospital.** In return, you will receive a competitive salary of **£60,000 per annum.**

**About the role**:
The **Head of Facilities **role takes leadership responsibility for the development and management of soft facilities services at the Hospital. The role must act as a front-facing champion for the company and will inspire and manage a team spanningthe areas of cleaning, catering, portering, laundry, logistics, residential, quality, and security

**Your responsibilities as the Head of Facilities will include**:

- Providing a high quality, customer focused and efficient delivery of facilities services ensuring that these meet statutory and contractual requirements, as well as being available to deal with out-of-hours decisions on reactive requests for site management
- Ensuring that the delivery of services by external contractors are monitored to ensure that high standards and value for money are achieved
- Encouraging and developing a culture, within facilities services team at WHH, of excellent customer service and promoting a professional and caring image
- Representing the company when meeting with customers, stakeholders and the public in order to enhance reputation and foster a partnership approach to relationships
- Managing the site’s financial resources within the allocated budget and seeking income generation and cost improvements in line with annual business planning and the broader 5-year commercial plan
- Ensuring tight and effective financial management in order to achieve profit and cash targets and meet corporate and legal requirements
- Ensuring that all functions within the service area develop and regularly update policies, procedures and quality services that will deliver services in line with contractual & statutory requirements, relevant professional guidance and good practice
- Directing and managing the Customer Services Managers and Team Leaders on site to ensure that staff are motivated, empowered, receptive to change and dedicated to achieving performance targets
- Defining, for the Facilities management team, their overall objectives and targets in support of service delivery and monitoring results to ensure that planned objectives and services levels are met

**What the company are looking for in their ideal Head of Facilities**:

- Facilities Management Degree or equivalent
- Experience in a facilities management leadership role across a large number of buildings with live 24/7 operations
- Strong leader with track record of success in change management. Team player with ability to contribute effectively at corporate level
- Excellent financial, commercial, and people skills to support the improvement of business performance
- Strong customer service ethos with evidence of the ability to deliver great service for all customers
