**2gether Support Solutions** has an exciting opportunity for a **Head of Facilities** to join our team based at **Kent and Canterbury** **Hospital**. You will join on a **full-time, permanent basis**, working 37.5 hours per week. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of **up to** **£60,000 per annum.**

**2gether Support Solutions** provides facilities, property, procurement, and professional services to the East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of the Trust, which is one of the largest in the UK.
**About the role**:
The **Head of Facilities** role takes leadership responsibility for the development and management of soft facilities services within 2gether at our designated sites. You will be a customer-facing champion for 2gether Support Solutions and will inspire and manage a team.
You will provide professional advice to 2gether Support Solutions and its clients and to deputise for the Director of Facilities and cover annual leave for peers at other sites. To contribute to the development and implementation of 2gether Support Solutions strategy considering national and local priorities and to ensure the provision of support services to enable the implementation of this strategy. You must also be available for out of hours emergency response when required.
**Your responsibilities as our Head of Facilities will include**:
- Providing visible leadership and support front line facilities workers across the site/s- Acting as site lead for customers on Facilities Solutions matters- Working closely with Head of Technical Solutions to ensure joined up approach across the site and seamless service to the customer- Working with colleagues across 2gether’s sites to share best practice and ensure consistent approach and service to customer- Being available to deal with out of hours decisions on reactive requests for site management- Managing within the site’s financial resources within the allocated budget and seeking income generation and cost improvements in line with annual business planning and the longer term- Ensuring that all functions within the service area develop and regularly update policies, procedures and quality services that will deliver services in line with contractual & statutory requirements, relevant professional guidance, and good practice- Ensuring that health and safety is maintained in line with policy- Directing and managing the Customer Services Managers and Team Leaders on site to ensure that staff are motivated, empowered, receptive to change and dedicated to achieving Trust performance targets
**What we are looking for in our ideal**Head of Facilities**:
- Experience and ability to motivate and lead a large scale and diverse team within a large, complex organisation- Clear understanding of the importance of safety and compliance with statutory requirements- Excellent financial, commercial, and people skills- to support the improvement of business performance- Strong customer service ethos with evidence of the ability to deliver great service for all customers- Excellent people leadership skills, with evidence of the ability to engage and motivate people at all levels- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills enabling effective partnership working- Considerable technical knowledge within own profession plus wide understanding of allied disciplines- Extensive experience of leading and managing facilities management service- Experience in a facilities management leadership role across many buildings- Track record of leading the provision of facilities management services and compliance and associated operational budgets- Strong leader with track record of success in change management. Team player with ability to contribute effectively at corporate level
