**Surveillance Analytics**

As a Barclays Surveillance Analytics, you will manage, assimilate and analyse a variety of disparate data sources into cohesive, accurate and timely reporting. You will be in charge of providing in-depth analysis with a thorough comprehension of the data to support Business Units in successfully managing all key components of Global Surveillance (Financial Crime and Market Abuse).

**What will you be doing?**:

- Working closely with the stakeholders across Global Surveillance to support the productionising/ operationalising of models, typologies, profiles
- Utilising internal & external data to undertake holistic reviews of high risk customer segments, industries and financial crime and or market abuse typologies
- Managing the operational output of complex data investigations
- Managing risk-related projects/initiatives to ensure deadlines and requirements are met
- Managing and overseeing the data lifecycle including access rights, retention, integrity and documentation

**What we’re looking for**:

- Expertise in data analytics with a proven track record in transforming raw data into meaningful and actionable intelligence
- Excellent coding skills with experience of data analysis & statistical modelling using industry standard tools (SQL / SAS / SPSS / Python / R)
- Ability to package ideas and communicate analytical results in a logical, understandable and compelling way for both technical and non-technical audiences

**Skills that will help you in the role**:

- Experience in statistical modelling and big data technologies (Hadoop / Graph Databases)
- Some technical knowledge of Market Abuse, Transaction Monitoring, AML, Sanctions and ABC would be advantageous
- Some knowledge of the UK and Global Financial Crime and Market Abuse regulatory framework would be advantageous
- Relevant professional experience and/or qualifications (AML qualifications (ACAMS, ICA))
