The Head of Procurement opportunity will play a key member in the senior management team and report directly into the Managing Director. Due to continuous growth, and exciting future growth plans, my client is looking for somebody to come onboard who has a true passion for procurement and driving business operations forward. As the Head of Procurement, your responsibilities will include: - Managing the company's purchasing strategy and budget. - International supplier relationship management - ensuring the required contractual agreements are in place, and you are achieving best market cost and value of goods. - Mentoring, coaching and upskilling a successful and self-efficient procurement team. - Inventory management - efficient management of stock levels. - Optimisation of the internal software packages available. - Performance management - measuring activity and driving performance. The successful Head of Procurement individual will have previous experience working within a senior position and managing a high performing team. Ideally you will be CIPS qualified, and able to operate at a strategic level whilst working alongside the senior leadership team. Key points that are essential for you to have experience in are: - Seeking continuous development opportunities, to improve the internal procurement function. - Commercial awareness. - Analytical and data led understanding to be able to implement decisions with meaning. - Strong and successful negotiator. - Excellent communication, with the ability to listen and influence. - Ideally you will have experience in change management and restructuring.
