As a Head of Group Assurance, you will be responsible for embedding the integrated assurance plan across key transformation programmes and BAU support functions. Working collaboratively with key programme stakeholders, the Head of Assurance will establish, embed and execute assurance standards and work programs to ensure the intended quality of output and robust assessment of risk management.

You will be working closely with the other Heads of Group Assurance, Assurance Heads within the business, Risk and compliance leads to establish early warning processes and indicators, to supplement the assurance dashboard and reporting.

This role offers you the opportunity to attend governance forums and committees, where applicable, to ensure assurance opinions and risk assessments are objectively provided.

**What you’ll need to succeed**:
You will be an experienced Assurance leader with a proven track record of leading, delivering and executing solutions to complex business problems. You will bring first rate credentials in Assurance, Risk and Compliance in addition to strong leadership, stakeholder influencing and change management experience. As a Head of Group Assurance, you will establish and promote the Network of Assurance across the Post Office. You will have:

- Degree educated, or equivalent, and holder of an ACA, CIMA, IIA, CII or qualified equivalent (not essential)
- Relevant functional experience: post-qualification experience in senior management roles, preferably across all disciplines of Compliance, Risk Management and Assurance.
- Industry experience: post-qualification experience working in large scale, highly regulated environments and or FTSE 100 organisations.
- Experience of navigating a complex stakeholder landscape with the ability to influence and challenge at all levels, and be able to deliver through first line / functional teams
