We have an exciting new opportunity at M&S food Supply planning team. Your role as supply chain planning assistant is to take ownership of the data capture, analysis, and formulation of production plans to utilise all business resources to continually improve the customer experience across all supply chain streams.

Key accountabilities and measures
- Provide administrative support to Supply & Demand planners within Beers, Wines and Spirits category, including purchase order amends, supplier queries, NPD launches, and depot requests.
- Collate and summarise key operational reports including inbound, availability and sales for morning meetings.
- Track and measure key supplier and haulier performances, highlighting risks and driving improvements.
- Handle code approval and release with both depots to ensure quick turnaround to stores.
- Maintain reporting on long-term contractual buys to advise expected run-out dates to commercial team
- See opportunities to drive continuous improvement and drive best practise, deliver the best service to our customers
- Handle stock levels in Ireland depot with direct suppliers and place manual orders for replenishment ahead of stock-outs
- Learn fundamentals of end-to-end supply chain to provide cover for SDP holidays and absences.

You will have analytical approach and enjoy heavy data tasks that utilises your exceptional numerical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, able to create tailored reports with I.T. Skills to quickly learn specific M&S systems. you have a collaborative pro-active attitude - offering support and seeking out tasks in areas most required. Understands how to build effective reports to draw attention to potential supply risks. You are confident in challenging suppliers and hauliers on poor performance to drive availability improvements.
