Full time, Permanent role

Rise provides specialist emotional wellbeing and mental health interventions for children and young people with anxiety disorders, depression, OCD and PTSD across Coventry and Warwickshire. Our Anxiety and Depression pathways are comprised of a multi-disciplinary team that shares a passion for using formulation-led CBT in a creative way to help children, young people and families. We place a strong emphasis on supervision and believe in an ethos of compassionate support for one another as clinicians.

The post holder will work alongside the CYP IAPT lead within the Rise service to lead on the CBT provision across CYP Specialist MH. As the CBT senior post, you will hold responsibility for recruitment and coordination of trainees along with developing activity to progress the principles of CYP IAPT across the service.

As the post holder you will deliver services that are responsive to local and national directives and need, promoting a learning culture that leads to improved delivery and ongoing evaluation. You will in your role be key in considering workforce, outcomes and caseload flow so as to ensure as a service we are delivering a robust and continually improving approach, in order to promote the development, welfare and secure the wellbeing of children and young people and their families.

This role is both an internal clinical lead role as well as an outward facing post. As post holder you will exert necessary influence at operational and clinical levels and will support strategic development of services as required. The post holder will work collaboratively with the other CYP service leads, the professional leads as well as colleagues within the local authorities to deliver services in line with the regulatory frameworks of CQC and Ofsted.

Rise Children and Young People Emotional Well-being and Mental Health services is part of Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership NHS Trust and are at the forefront of developing Mental Health care for CYP. This post will be responsible for clinically informing and implementing the Children and Young People’s CBT provision across the geography of the county including supporting increasing access to evidence based mental health care for children and young people.

You will work alongside all the Rise Clinical Leads and operational leads as a senior CBT practitioner, adding strength and value to the much-needed CBT provision of the part of the RISE umbrella of services.

To demonstrate an expert level of clinical reasoning and practical skills enabling independent (autonomous) working within a clinic, bedded facility or community based environment

To undertake the comprehensive assessment of CYP and families referred into the service, determining clinical risk and managing the risks with appropriate multidisciplinary team intervention and specific clinical requirements

Will be responsible for own and others continuing professional development and ensure requirements of the appropriate professional clinical guidelines and standards are complied with in maintaining professional registration requirements

Will identify, participate in the development and sustainability of best practice within Children and Young Peoples Specialist Mental Health Services.

To champion the usage of Routine Outcome Measures by the Specialist Mental Health clinical team and to lead on increase Routine Outcome reporting.
