**About The Role**:
**A bit about the role **
The exciting role of Internal Communications and Engagement Advisor reports to the Head of Learning and Development and supports the business within the Energy Division to drive collaboration and engagement by joining the dots for our employees, to help them understand their role in executing our strategy and driving business performance. Your communications will generate buy-in to the business vision and value creates a sense of the future that is both motivational and credible.
You will be responsible for building trust, confidence and belief in the company vision, values and strategy. Our people play a pivotal role in shaping our customer experience and external reputation; their trust belief and advocacy is critical. You will be the point of contact for all internal communication activities, and you will develop and manage communication tools such as the intranet, MD briefings, sharing good news stories and co-ordinating central content to ensure information is accurate, engaging and up to date.

**Key responsibilities for this role**
- Partnering with the business areas to design best-fit internal communications channels.
- Leading the development and use of the intranet as a key communication tool
- Organising internal events and announcements.
- Measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of our communication and channels, recommending actions for improvement.
- Leading on the communication for company-wide engagement surveys.
- Shaping internal presentations/employee engagement activities, such as on-boarding materials.
- Supporting talent attraction and retention initiatives where needed
**An important aspect of the role is bringing the Energy Division brand personality to life internally. This will involve**:
- Creating our tone of voice internally, by providing materials and content for employee audiences to improve employee engagement levels.
- Creating external / internal videos to drive emotional connection
- Creating a group of internal communication ambassadors across the business to be the voice of the employee, celebrating employee successes and milestones.
- Support activities to deepen the employee relationship with the Energy Division
- Partnering with the M Group marketing team to create innovative ways to promote the Energy Division
**What you’ll bring to the role**
- Outstanding written and verbal communications
- Experience of developing intranet content and structure
- Ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities and to work to tight deadlines
- Understanding of how communications can impact employees and influence their behaviours
- Knowledge of the range and variety of communications channels, platforms and processes to ensure effective and timely communication and engagement.
- A proven ability to deliver internal communication solutions that contribute to improving business performance.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build good relationships across functions.
- Expertise in managing internal stakeholders and experience of how to work and influence senior management.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage and work to tight deadlines
