The Major Projects and Digital Delivery (MPDD) are seeking a Communications and Engagement Advisor.

Using your skills and experience, you'll be collaborating with the Change Awareness and Adoption team to develop and implement communications and engagement strategies, plans, and products that supports the Future Digital Delivery (FDD) programme with considerable change management and ways of working.

Using an internal network of contacts, you’ll ensure up-to-date insight on current attitudes, perceptions, and how internal communications activities across DDTS have been received by colleagues so that communication and engagement plans can be adjusted and refined accordingly to meet business objectives.

As well as working with a supportive team of communication, user insight and change management professionals, you’ll have access to training, learning and development within the role to enhance your skill set.

**Responsibilities**
- Being a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders within the FDD programme - presenting communication options and recommendations and influencing and persuading Senior Managers and Directors on a frequent basis
- Leading the communications from FDD by proactively planning and delivering the communications and engagements for a ways of working change programme to colleagues in DDTS by ensuring information is appropriate or tailored for the correct audience
- Building and maintaining a strong collaborative network and lead the day-to-day relationships with senior leaders and project / programme leads - using negotiating, consulting, and interpersonal skills to achieve co-operation over communication products
- Designing, delivering, and evaluating internal communications strategies and products to support DDTS’ priorities and ongoing transformation programmes - using specialist judgement and a high degree of creativity and flexibility to overcome complex and varied problems
- Developing work programmes and using resources to maximise cost effectiveness and ensuring the completion of projects
- Proactively managing the delivery of key communication and engagement activity, including targeted content and events that influence and enhance the functions reputation
- Work collaboratively with teams across DDTS to ensure key messages are joined up

**Skills and Experience**
- Extensive experience in designing and delivering effective internal communications plans based on IT and/or ways of working change with significant experience of using insight to inform activity
- Experience of developing and delivering successful communications within large, complex organisations
- Proven experience in a similar role - highly skilled in producing and designing engaging and effective content (e.g., blogs, news articles, briefings etc.)
- Experience in using metrics and user feedback to define, evaluate, and improve content
- Experience of making immediate decisions in rapidly changing environments or working to very tight deadlines
- Experience of working at all levels within an organisation and experience of challenging senior grades to deliver better communication outcomes
- Experience of using communication skills to resolve complex problems - using initiative in developing new solutions or adapting existing ones

**Salary**: £37,295.00-£44,724.00 per year
