Volunteering and Training Coordinator

The role of the Volunteer & Training Coordinator will include the ongoing recruitment, training and supervision of volunteers, placement staff and service users in preparation for future employment opportunities. Alongside this, the Volunteer & Training Coordinator will also support a programme of workshops and activities to aid the understanding of issues relating to mental health difficulties and developing skills to improve personal wellbeing.
We support people to navigate local options of support and be connected to specialist services that can meet their needs. Our aims are to support people to make informed decisions; to improve the wellbeing of everyone in Southwark & to support those with mental health needs to manage their wellbeing.
To do this effectively, the Volunteer & Training Coordinator will be an expert navigator of local communities, able to continually build and sustain relationships and partnerships with agencies, universities, professionals, and employers who may use or contribute to the project.
The role of the Volunteer & Training Coordinator involves autonomous, mobile working in the community alongside engagement with a fast-paced team.
This role will require occasional evening and weekend working.

**What you will offer us**
As our Volunteering and Training Coordinator you will have personal lived experience of mental health and/or using services and good understanding of service user leadership and peer support in a service/project environment.
You will have experience of successfully developing a volunteer project in health or social care and a willingness to work flexibly.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 30 per week
**Salary**: £21,337.53 per year
