We are looking for a digital marketing & marketplace assistant to join our friendly team at Furniture Online.

**Who are we**:
Furniture Online is a well-established, family run, ecommerce, and logistics business, successfully trading for over 20 years. Our aim is to offer affordable, innovative, and high-quality furniture.

The business boasts a fun, yet hard working environment and has recently embarked upon an exciting period of growth and is currently looking to expand its’ team.

**About you**:
You are enthusiastic and adaptable with a strong understanding of digital marketing and e-commerce, particularly marketplaces, with a desire to take ownership of tasks and drive them through to a successful conclusion.

Possessing excellent written skills and knowledge of SEO, one of your main tasks will be to oversee the enhancement of existing product descriptions, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date and that tone is consistent, in addition to optimising them to improve visibility and conversion rates. Knowledge of Microsoft excel is crucial as you will need to manipulate data from various systems and be able to upload data to various marketplaces and internal systems.

This role will require an initiative-taking individual with existing knowledge of e-commerce and marketplaces that can instinctively find problems and resolve them.

In addition to this, you will need a good all-round knowledge of digital marketing, with the ability to assist on a range of digital marketing activities, such as social media and SEO tasks.

**Other requirements**:

- GCSE Math and English Grade C (or Equivalent)
- Proactive and willingness to learn
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a small team and independently
- High energy and proactive attitude
- Knowledge of photo editing / Photoshop
- Previous experience in marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, ManoMano and Wayfair
- Motivated initiative-taker
- Tech savvy with online and computer skills, highly desirable
- Critical thinking skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Enjoy working in a fun, demanding and at times, challenging environment
- Knowledge of SEO desirable
- Content writing desirable

**The role**:

- Support a range of e-commerce activities
- Upload / maintain marketplace listings and storefronts (Amazon, eBay, ManoMano)
- Monitor promotional opportunities on marketplaces.
- Write briefs and liaise with third party agencies.
- Maintain image archive, including basic image editing tasks
- Social media scheduling.

**How will we reward you?**

Salary starts at £20 - £22K depending on experience, for 40 hours per week. We have comprehensive benefits package that includes, 22 days annual leave, plus public holidays, pension scheme, employee assistance program, healthcare cash plan and a bonus after 1-year successful employment with the company.

We also offer hybrid working, 3 days a week working from the office and two days working from home. It is therefore important for you to have a quiet place to work from, a good broadband connection, free from distractions and be a self-motivator.

All equipment will be provided for you.

**Working conditions**:
We currently offer hybrid working, 3 office and 2 home-based days.

**Physical requirements**:
The job is desk based.

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£23,000.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
Distancing is encouraged within the office. Staff are staggered so the whole team are only in together one day per week. Rules are in place to ensure distancing is maintained in all shared areas. Wipes and sanitiser are provided to all staff.
