We are recruiting for a Workforce Management (WFM) Lead to join our team at HMP Fosse Way, a brand new Category C resettlement prison in Leicester with the capacity to house around 1,700 prisoners.

This is a business critical role to support the Operations Director in ensuring the contract is appropriately resourced to deliver the service through following WFM best practise ways of working. You must have experience in workforce management, including rostering, scheduling and on the day management of resourcing of an operation.

Operational leadership and people management experience is required as you will oversee the WFM-related activities carried out by Administration staff.

Reporting to the Contract Operations Director you will be expected to:
Understand the demand profiles that underpin the work schedules, and the impact of how the Current Staffing Level meets the demand profile requirements on expected under and over hours.
Allocate resources to schedules and ensure that the rosters are correctly created and published by the Operational Shared Service (OSS).
Analyse and act - review reports on a regular basis. Create and interpret reports of exceptions that impact payroll. Understand the cost impact of rostering decisions, and ensure that rostering decisions are made in line with contract budgets and the agreed demand profile.

What you’ll need to do the role

It is imperative you have a good understanding of the WFM Operating Model, end
- to-end WFM processes and WFM System Architecture.

Good analytical skills with ability to assimilate information quickly are required to ensure you can communicate key messages simply and effectively to the business to aid decision making.
