**The team**

The Safeguarding Interface HUB is a combined approach to support initial decision-making pathways between Safeguarding, ASSET (Adult Services Support and Engagement Team) and Adult Social Care Direct. The role of Partnership Officer will provide operational support to the Safeguarding and ASSET teams, contributing to the delivery of effective and efficient services.

Working in this way streamlines and build upon existing referral pathways for safeguarding concerns/adult concern notifications and information and advice for those who may not require a statutory intervention from ASC. Professional curiosity with a focus on effective outcomes is the golden thread throughout this approach.

The ethos of the team are to provide an enabling, collaborative approach in which the person identified as needing support and those providing the support, work together to determine outcomes that draw on strengths and aspirations.

**About the role.**

Gateshead Council’s ambitious Adult Social Care service are currently looking to recruit a Hub Partnership Officer to join our innovative Safeguarding hub. You will be educated to Degree Level or equivalent in relevant field of health and Social Care or have relevant work experience of working in services which support social care, particularly those where multiple and complex needs are prevalent.

As part of the Safeguarding hub, you will be working with a Service manager, Team Managers, Senior Practitioners, Social Workers, Assessing Officers from within Safeguarding and ASSET. As well as working closely alongside Adult Social Care Direct and partner agencies. To contribute to the delivery of an effective and efficient support service within an overarching Safeguarding Function as part of Integrated Adults and Social Care services (IASCS).
