**Job Purpose**: To be responsible for the maintenance of the physical structure of the hotel, all internal plant equipment and fixtures and fittings, so that our guests can enjoy a comfortable, safe room every time.

***To take the lead on the planning and undertaking or reactive repairs as well as planned preventative maintenance tasks.

Responsibility for statutory compliance checks and Health and Safety standards.

***You will be a critical part of the Hotel Team so you mush be able to communicate effectively with the other Team Members and interact with guests.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Manages and monitors all utilities, plant and equipment to ensure all in good working order and operating in a cost effective manner
- Acts on maintenance requests from other members of the team in an efficietly, always prioritising defects that directly impact guests
- Provides positive constructive feed back to the Maintenance Manager on any technical matters that should arise
- Designs and implements the hotel’s preventative maintenance programme
- Maintains high standards of product quality for all areas of the hotel and reports deficiencies to the Hotel Manager
- Ensures the completion of all statutory Fire safety tests and documents these tests within Sharepoint/Trail
- Ensures monthly monitoring of the hotel hot and cold water systems and completion of relevant documentation
- Ensures that Health & Safety standards in the hotel comply with legal legislation and company policy and reports any defects to the Health and Safety manager
- Work closely with the Hotel and Housekeeping teams to co-ordinate and prioritize maintenance activites
- Support easyHotel’s low carbon objectives

**What we’re looking for**
- A genuine focus on hospitality is essential for this role
- An effective communiator who can work with Team Members, guests and external contractors
- A proactive approach towards maintaining stocks to allow faults to be remedied immedaitely
- A good level of IT proficiency including knowledge of microsoft packages
- Relevant Qualification(s)
