**Reservations Supervisor** - Clayton Hotel Cardiff**

**We have a fantastic new vacancy for Reservations Supervisor the excellent Clayton Hotel Cardiff.**

**Objective of the Role**

Reporting to the Reservations Manager, the Reservations Supervisor will be the first point of contact for our guests. It is of utmost importance that the reservations department present a friendly and professional manner at all times. As a Reservations Supervisor, you will act as the main point of contact for guest’s bookings for bedrooms.
- Achieve maximum occupancy and average rate by utilizing yield management.
- Achieve maximum occupancy and revenue for conference space.
- Greet guests over the phone in a friendly and professional manner.
- Record reservation information accurately, identify and record group and transient business codes.
- Inform other departments of VIP arrivals.
- Identify commissionable reservations and secure required information.
- Record and process deposit information.
- Identify and record special billing instructions, approve credit after consultation with the Reservations Manager.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Manage Guests reservations, ensuring that their needs and wants are met to the highest standard.
- Give details of hotel facilities and pricing information.
- Upsell other areas of the hotel or other properties in the group.
- Ensure expectations are set correctly, in advance of the guest’s stay.

**Requirements**:

- 1-2 years experience in a similar role with a Reservations System, Opera would be an advantage.
- Excellent customer care skills.
- Excellent command of the English language both written and oral is essential.
- Ability to cope well under pressure.
- Highly motivated, and a team player.
