Role Overview
As a Front Office Supervisor, you will play a key role in leading the Front Office team to deliver an exceptional guest experience from arrival to departure. You will support the Front Office Manager in daily operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and the highest standards of service.

This role requires a proactive leader with a strong guest focus, excellent communication skills, and the ability to motivate and support a team in a busy hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily Front Office operations to ensure smooth, efficient service at all times.
  • Lead by example in delivering warm, professional, and personalised service to every guest.
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve any issues promptly and effectively, maintaining brand standards.
  • Oversee the check-in, check-out, and billing processes, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Support the team in managing VIP arrivals, special requests, and group check-ins.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the lobby to support associates and engage with guests.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Support and motivate Front Office associates, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture.
  • Provide on-the-job coaching, guidance, and training to support professional development.
  • Assist with scheduling, daily briefings, and performance management.
  • Ensure all associates understand hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Promote teamwork and communication across departments to ensure guest satisfaction.

Operational Efficiency & Administration

  • Assist in managing room allocations, guest profiles, and key operational systems such as Opera and MARSHA.
  • Monitor daily arrivals and departures, ensuring readiness for peak check-in/out periods.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including shift handovers and guest feedback logs.
  • Support the implementation of new procedures and initiatives to improve operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with financial and auditing procedures related to Front Office operations.

Brand Standards & Safety

  • Ensure all Front Office activities are aligned with Marriott brand standards.
  • Maintain professionalism in appearance and conduct at all times.
  • Follow company safety, security, and emergency procedures.
  • Report any maintenance issues, incidents, or unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Safeguard guest information and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Candidate Profile
Experience

  • Previous experience in a Front Office or customer service role within a hotel environment.
  • Supervisory experience preferred but not essential for candidates with strong leadership potential.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in hotel systems such as Opera and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team.
  • High level of attention to detail and organisation.
