ParentPay Group is the European EdTech market leader in MIS, cashless school payments, school meals management and communications software. Across our Group, we help more than 20,000 schools effectively manage their data, save administration time, and reduce costs whilst enabling millions of parents to communicate with their school, remaining engaged in their children’s education.
The HR Operations Delivery Lead reports to the Group Head of Employee Experience. The role works with the team to deliver operational excellence to support an exceptional employee experience, engagement of our employees and effective HR operations.
Leading on the delivery of legally compliant, effective & efficient processes, that are automated and easy, documentation that is simple and accessible, and projects and initiatives that support the HR team and our managers and employees; The role is a mix of day-to-day requirements and various projects. In all aspects you will use your expert knowledge & experience of HR and legislative requirements to problem-solve and deliver new and/or updated initiatives, processes & documentation.
Location - we are flexible on location, we just want the best person for the job. You can be based at our offices in Bedford or Coventry, or we also offer a hybrid or remote working option. This can be discussed at interview.
**Responsibilities**:
- Own our end-to-end employment processes across the employee lifecycle to support the HR team, employees and managers.
- Drive continuous improvement and look for opportunities for standardisation, simplification, and automation; update or introduce new frameworks and processes and recommend governance and approval frameworks
- Be responsible for all HR documentation including our policies and handbook
- Be responsible for the regular reporting and management information to deliver a comprehensive set of HR information to aid decision making
- Be the owner of the compensation, benefits and pension processes, and liaise with payroll to ensure that up to date and accurate information is processed and employee information is readily available
- Lead on delivery of various projects and activity for the Group including; operational process & data projects updates, development of policies and handbook, employee and manager guidance, wellbeing and diversity and inclusion initiatives, benefits offering including renewals/new providers.
- Line Manage the HR Administrator
- Oversee and support ISO and Finance audit processes
- Be the owner of our statutory and legislative requirements
- Be the ‘go to’ person for queries on regulations and employment law, manage risk
- Manage the relationships with relevant external suppliers (eg pre-employment screening, OH, Benefits) regularly reviewing SLA’s and service delivery.
Key Skills & Experience:
- A solid background in HR operations, and/ or experience in a full generalist role in a matrix environment
- Proactive self-starter, with ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and a ‘can do’ attitude
- Excellent written, verbal and numeracy skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
- Excellent attention to detail with a calm and pragmatic approach to problem solving
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of HR policies and processes, employee contracts, technical HR aspects. For example internal changes processes, term time only inc. calculations, time off calculations, absence types, benefits and pension processes inc. renewals.
- The ability to work with data, highly numerate.
- Ability to analyse data/information and interpret it into recommendations
- Experience and skillset in maintaining and understanding processes with a view to automation via HR systems (HiBob preferable) and delivering a positive self-service experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build effective relationships
- Knowledge of payroll, benefits and pensions schemes and processes, including renewal processes
- Has a desire to continuously learn and has a focus on continuous improvement and delivery
- Intermediate/Advanced MS office skills (Excel, Word and Powerpoint)
- Digital skills including use of Sharepoint and MS Teams, other digital tools and ability to support and advise HR team on digital approach for effectiveness (desirable)
- Enjoys working with and through others in a matrix team to deliver
- Is a hard worker but equally has a good sense of humour and likes to have fun
