Job purpose:
- Plan and co-ordinate the incoming goods, storage and dispatch of items in a timely and efficient manner to achieve your team objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as determined by Euro foods Group Ltd.
- Overall responsibility for all aspects of the effective supervision, training & development and health, safety & welfare of your team.
- Induction and training specifics for new employees, interlacing into the team, building team ethics and understanding of Euro Foods Group Ltd working methods.
- Develop with the Line Manager specific KPIs, maintain accurate records and review on a regular basis.
- Ensure that all aspects of the day-to-day tasking of staff is maintained at peak performance and in a efficient manner to accomplish all tasks..
- Ensure vehicle weights are recorded accurately and defects passed to your Line Manager.
- To ensure effective, safe, accurate and timely storage of incoming stocks to include space allocation, stock transfer and reporting non-confirming product.
- Control of third party on-site storage, accurate intake and recording of outbound as per the needs of the third party.
- Be responsible for ensuring that the service within the warehouse is maintained at the highest possible standards for the customer.
- Ensure quality procedures and team quality targets are strictly adhered to.
- Implement the company’s Health and Safety Policy, ensuring safe working conditions and practices within the Warehouse.
- Regular schedules for depot cleanliness, safe practices and hygiene, end of shift cleanliness.
- Regular maintenance of equipment and fault reporting to Management, safe storage of said equipment “everything in its place”.
- Any other reasonable duties, which may be required by management from time to time.
Context:
- Working within defined budgets to achieve all required functions and improve KPIs.
- Continually be aware of staff safety and security.
- All intake functions must reasonably be completed, if overtime is required the this must be authorised by Management to ensure completion.
Key interfaces and relationships:
- Working closely with Warehouse Manager/ Stock Controller when required to resolve non standard issues.
- To ensure that all relevant information is passed you must complete the End of Shift report.
- Managing and overseeing the records of all received goods and supplies.
- Supervising the orderly stocking and arrangement of consignments in the warehouse.
- Organizing the shift and delegating work to subordinates.
- Ensuring that all personnel have cross training and skills sets to accomplish all tasks.
- Verifying received materials with the purchase orders, liaising with Head Office for discrepancies.
- Ensuring the compliance of safety norms in the warehouse.
- Recording delivery times/vehicle details during the day.
- Conducting regular training and workshops for the staff in line with the Depot requirements.
- Ensuring the compliance of all legal and completion of necessary paper work for the receipt of goods.

- A understanding of the Goods-In shift role as a whole
- Understand the importance for recording and monitoring.
Need to be:
- Structured and organised. Able to plan ahead and manage priorities.
- Able to work accurately at a pace to suit priorities.
- Communicate issues and suggest resolution.
- Able to add value by contributing to continuous improvement.
Specific must have requirements:
- A current FLT Reach Truck nationally accredited licence is required.
- Good knowledge of Office software, specifically Outlook and Excel.
- Previous use of warehouse systems and hand held scanner.

In brief:
You will be wholly responsible for the accuracy of intake, to monitor and improve ways to ensure 100% compliance from the staff and systems employed. Storage of stock must be safe and in the correctly allocated areas. The timely and accurate loading and unloading of loads when required. A clean and safe working environment is a must; time must be allocated to ensure that day-to-day cleaning is accomplished. The more specific cleaning and maintenance jobs to be placed onto a regular schedule.
You are to work with your line manager to ensure continual improvement not only in the Goods-In operation, but also on a personnel level throughout the shift.
