We have an amazing opportunity for Production Supervisor that has just become available for an ever evolving and expanding company that has operated since the early 1900's. You will be the second in charge on site and will be expected to cover when theSite Operations Manager has other engagements.
Reporting directly to the Site Operations Manager the purpose of the Production Supervisor is to provide leadership and operational direction to the team whilst maintaining a strong focus on safety, site compliance and productivity.
**Production Supervisor's Responsibilities**:

- Daily supervision of all site operatives to include the following:

- Ensuring all operatives work within UGI standards
- All team members always follow the correct procedures
- Ensure the operational site is well organised, clutter free and tidy always
- Responsible for carrying out daily safety checks
- Communicate with network sites on a regular basis relating to customer orders and stock control.
- Liaise with site management and provide forward production plans
- Ensure that the storage area is kept well organised and in line with site storage requirements
- In certain scenarios, will assume Bronze Command, Incident Controller role for site

**Production Supervisor's Key Information**:

- Working within a matrix organisation, reporting to Site Operations Manager
- Line management responsibilities for team members
- The role will be based predominantly at Wednesbury site but flexibility to travel to other sites in the network is required to support training, development, and contingency planning
- The position will underpin the Site Operations Manager and during periods of holiday and absence will assume control and responsibility of the region

**Plant Supervisor's Skills**:

- Previous experience in health and safety environment is a MUST
- The safe and appropriate use of forklift truck vehicles.
- Good Knowledge of Work Instructions and Risk Assessment process and activities
- Ability to manage, coach and develop a team of colleagues
- Effective use of near miss reporting systems and incident control
- Experience in using Warehouse Management Systems to control and confirm work activity
- Comfortable with Microsoft Excel package
