Transport and Uniform Services provides a cost effective and efficient vehicle and uniform provision to Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies.

The Transport Supplies section is a fast moving environment, where vehicle components and Police equipment need to be sourced to ensure vehicles remain fit for purpose and in service.

We are seeking a dynamic individual who will compliment the team. You will need to possess the ability to work under pressure and deal with conflicting demands. The role provides job satisfaction through supporting the Police vehicle workshops returning vehicles into service. This post is part-time (22.5 hours) working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

**About the Role**

We are looking for a Transport Supplies Assistant to join our team and ensure the smooth and efficient management of transport-related supplies. This role is vital in supporting our operations by maintaining stock levels, coordinating deliveries, and assisting with procurement processes.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Monitor and maintain inventory of transport supplies and equipment.
- Process orders and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Check and record incoming stock, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Assist with stock audits and maintain accurate records in the system.
- Support the transport team with ad-hoc supply requests.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in storage and handling.

**Essential Criteria**
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items as directed and appropriate to agreed limits
- Ability to complete work to a high standard with excellent attention to detail
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- Good organisational skills
- Demonstrate the ability to effectively as a team
- Basic keyboard skills with an understanding of MS Office suit

**Desirable Criteria**
- Current and recent experience of working in a stores environment
- Hold a full driving licence
- Knowledge of a stock control system

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £26,106.00-£29,109.00 per year

Expected hours: 22.5 per week
