Receptionist (Temporary Cover)

Mere Road Vets is looking for an experienced receptionist to join our friendly practice to cover sickness on a temporary basis for a minimum of six weeks (with possible extension) with an immediate start.

The position is part time (20 - 30 hours) over four or five days per week and includes a Saturday shift on a 1 in 4 rota basis. The hours are between 8:00am and 7:00pm and may vary on a week by week basis depending on cover needed. Flexibility to work between these hours and throughout the week is a necessity.

Main duties include client care, answering calls, booking appointments, taking payments, assisting the veterinary surgeons / veterinary nurses, and general cleaning.

At least five years previous experience in a reception role is required, experience in the veterinary or healthcare industry would be advantageous.

The applicant must have excellent customer service skills, a friendly telephone manner and have good administration / computer skills.
