**What will you be doing?**:
You’ll captivate Members and customers with exciting, engaging and relevant communication plans that bring our brand to life, finding stories, following trends and shining a light on our achievements.

You’ll protect and promote the Society’s reputation and play a pivotal role in bringing our marketing campaigns to life from generating ideas through to planning and delivering PR activity.

As PR & Media Relations Specialist, you’ll be the main point of contact for media relations including out-of-hours cover and will support with providing appropriate responses to the media.

You’ll champion our brand tone of voice and support with copywriting, proofreading and content creation for multiple channels across B2B and D2C campaigns including social media.

As PR & Media Relations Specialist, you’ll represent the team in senior stakeholder meetings, deliver media coaching for colleagues and provide proactive support for our Corporate Social Responsibility/Social Change agenda.

You’ll play a key role in organising and arranging events, industry awards submissions, presentations, PR activations and promotional activity. You’ll write press releases and organise photo/video shoots that will garner engaging media coverage.

**How will I know if I am right for this role?**:
You’ll have passion and energy for all things PR, staying up to date with trends and opportunities. You’ll be an exceptional communicator and copywriter with excellent attention to detail and have proven experience in creating and delivering an effective PR plan for a large organisation. You’ll be well versed at developing and executing communication plans, writing effective press releases and have extensive experience with media relations, with excellent stakeholder management skills.

You’ll have proven media relations experience, confidence to work with journalists and handle media enquiries, providing recommendations and opportunities to the Society to help further the Brand and Communications strategy.

You’ll be a confident self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and flexible enough to adapt your approach when working across our family of businesses (food retail, funeral, floristry, masonry). You’ll be a great networker, comfortable building relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
