**The Opportunity**
The Lancashire Cricket Foundation (LCF) are looking to appoint a Community Talent Champion to complement the existing team developing Talent within the local area working within diverse communities. The Community Talent Champion (Boys) will be responsible for identifying and bringing talented players from non-affiliated cricket activities to the Lancashire pathway.
We are on a new journey and have the ambition of growing talent the Lancashire Way supporting our number one priority “pathway for all”. The CTC programme will involve engaging, forming relationships with, and identifying talented players from diverse communities who typically take part in non-affiliated cricket, and linking them into the existing Lancashire Player Pathway. The CTC helps alleviate any cultural boundaries that may exist across diverse communities and provide mentoring to young players along with their families and peers.
**About Us**
The Lancashire Cricket Foundation works across Lancashire to develop and deliver a range of projects, programmes and events designed to increase participation levels in the game. It is designated as the local governing body for all recreational cricket in the County by the national governing body, The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB).
Established as the official charity of Lancashire Cricket, LCF provides high quality cricket experiences that make a positive difference to the lives of the individuals it engages with.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, deliver and implementation of the ECB Community Talent Champion (CTC) programme across Lancashire, working specifically with diverse communities.
- Engage with local community leaders to identify new ‘hotbeds’ of talent.
- Conduct talent observations at non-affiliated cricket events and programmes, attend Chance to Shine Street, MCC Foundation Hubs, Development Centres & Lord’s Taverners Wicketz sessions.
- Connect young people, from diverse communities who are playing unaffiliated cricket into the Lancashire Inter League programme.
- Engage with County Age Group coaches, Performance Managers and the Head of Talent Pathway to ensure the CTC programme creates opportunities for young players into the Player Pathway.
- Link to internal partners not exhausted by Chance to Shine Street, Wicketz and ECB Core Cities to promote participation and growth across non-traditional forms of the game.
- Build a network of trusted information providers to identify talent in Lancashire.

**Essential Requirements**
- ECB UKCC Level 2 or equivalent cricket coaching qualification (Level 3 preferred).
- A desire to aid player development within the Lancashire Cricket player pathway.
- Understanding (and experience) of the diversity that exist across Lancashire and the different ways in which we engage communities.
- DBS Clearance to an Enhanced level, up to date First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications.
- You will have experience of working as part of a team and with multiple partners.
- The ability to identify and nurture talent in diverse communities.
- High levels of self-drive, excellent time management, strong organization and planning skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding.
- Full UK driving license, applicants should have a current driving license access to transport.
