Milk Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant to provide support in Local SEND Schools. This is a challenging yet rewarding role, which requires someone who is patient, empathetic and committed to making a positive impact on the student’s education.

Key Responsibilities Of The Unqualified Teaching Assistant role Include:

- Providing support for a student’s with ASD, in line with their individual education plan
- Supporting the student’s in their academic studies, under the direction of the classroom teacher
- Monitoring and recording the student’s progress and behaviour
- Liaising with parents and other professionals involved in the student’s care
- Have experience working with children or young people, preferably in an education setting
- Be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of autism and its impact on learning and behaviour
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues
- Be able to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
