Summary We’re looking for someone with marketing and communications experience to join the Bodnant Garden team to help share our work in this grade 1 listed garden. We’re seeking someone who can tell the story of our work through social media, web and the press. With over 250,000 visitors a year and over 80 acres to promote, you’ll be kept busy with a varied and interesting workload. As part of the visitor experience team, you’ll work closely with the gardeners to showcase the work they do and the seasonal highlights of the garden. You’ll create content, write press releases, work with TV/radio contacts and develop plans to reach newaudiences. Cliciwch yma am ragor o wybodaeth ynghylch y lleoliad hwn What you'll be doing Over the next 12 months, the role will focus on shining a light on our storm restoration work, the exiting future replanting project and the ever-changing seasonal variety of the 80 acre garden. The role is varied; you could be photographingmagnolias, planning press coverage of project milestones, dealing with crisis communications or planning content to link in with national campaigns. Could you be our storyteller? We want someone who will find the news hook, seek out the photo opportunity, and help demonstrate how our work will help benefit the garden for the future. Doing this, you’ll secure press coverage and create digital content(web, social media and video) and internal communications coverage about our garden work, as well as work with our partners to reach a wider audience through their channels. You’ll help bring the best out of the garden team, sharing their passions and encouragingthem to be our spokespeople. Who we're looking for We’re looking for someone with creative flair, excellent written skills and an eye for a great image or video content. Ideally, you’ll have experience of working in the conservation or heritage industry, or a good understanding of gardensand the outdoors.We’re looking for someone with: - Practical experience in a marketing and communications role, with particular PR or digital focus - Experience of developing and implementing marketing and communications plans - Knowledge of relevant legislation: marketing codes, data protection, copyright and model release - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to spot potential risks to reputation and escalate them accordingly - Have excellent interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to influence, advise and negotiate at all levels within the organisation and with external agencies - Well organised and able to manage multiple priorities and varying pressures to meet measurable targets and deadlines - Strong understanding of the importance of online presence and ways to promote visits to our website and social media channels - Can take a flexible approach to work
