**As a result of National Lottery Funding we are recruiting for a Children and Young Person Outreach and Engagement Officer to develop and enhance our Children and Young Person service.**

**Salary/Grade**:£32,000 per annum (rising to £32,960 after probationary period)

**Annual leave**28 days per annum (plus public holidays)

**Hours**:35 hours per week, Monday to Friday and a requirement for flexible working hours to meet organisational needs

**Base**: RASASC NW Centres, Bangor and / or Rhyl

**Closing date : 16/02/2025**

This post will require a flexible approach to working hours and the post holder will be expected to work the hours reasonably required to fulfil the duties of the post. This could include working occasional hours at the weekend as well as attendance at evening and weekend meetings and events for RASASC NW.

**The post holder must be currently eligible to work in the UK.**

**RASASC NW**

Established in 1984, **RASASC NW** is a registered charity providing specialist support and therapy to children (3+) and adults living in North Wales, who have experienced any form of child sexual abuse, sexual abuse / violence and / or rape, whether this has happened recently or in the past. We also provide specialist support and therapy to partners and family members of those who have been affected by sexual abuse and violence.

**Job Purpose**
- To develop and deliver a range of dynamic and engaging education and wellbeing interventions to children, young people, adults and professionals on a wide range of topics including sexual health, reproductive health, relationships and wellbeing, including RASASC NW’s Don’t Steal My future training campaign.
- This post has been created to drive forward the work of RASASC NW by engaging with local stakeholders in the delivery of tailored training, with particular focus on educational settings and children and young people.
- An outreach role, requiring frequent travel to a range of education and community venues to deliver face to face and digital whole class sessions, small group sessions and 1:1 programmes to young people, service users, parents / carers and the wider young people’s work force.
- To develop and deliver trauma informed therapeutic group support programmes to RASASC NW service users, including family members. The programmes will help survivors come to terms with their experiences, develop positive coping mechanisms, and identify their needs for recovery.

**Main Duties**

**Service Delivery**
- To ensure high quality training is delivered on behalf of RASASC NW to increase awareness and raise of the profile of RASASC NW.
- To organise and co-ordinate training events, this includes arranging dates, venues, room layout, course materials and co-ordinating the appropriate catering requirements.
- To deliver sexual violence specific group work and specialist one to one support to RASASC NW service users.
- To work in a multidisciplinary manner to ensure each survivor is linked with the appropriate external support services (such as ISVA services, SARC, substance use services).
- To co-ordinate all administration and communications related to the training and group programmes.
- To manage all registrations and confirmations in advance of training and group programmes.
- To ensure participants have all the appropriate documentation and material in advance of courses / programmes.
- To provide quotations for all commissioned training programmes.
- To develop and maintain on and offline resources and training materials.
- To evaluate the effectiveness of training / group programmes and ensure delegate feedback is received, analysed and responded to.
- To ensure the website is constantly updated regarding open training courses and group programme details.
- To provide regular reports of activities, including collation of training feedback of RASASC NW Training Programmes.
- To manage the budget expenditure agreed for projects in particular for commissioned training.
- To secure appropriate accreditation for agreed newly developed training programmes.
- Overall management, planning, delivery and co-ordination of training programmes, in line with organisational targets and the annual business plan.
- To keep up to date for the efficient execution of this role, with current news stories, new legislation, procedures and processes.
- To maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
- To maintain accurate training records, including attendance.

**Service Development and Networking**
- To design, research and develop new materials to proactively meet training and group work needs.
- To work closely with CEO and senior management team to identify and develop local campaigns and marketing messages for RASASC NW.
