Senior Merchandiser

**Due to an internal move we are looking for a Senior Merchandiser to join our Merchandising Team based at Deeside.**
**This role is pivotal to the department and you will need to demonstrate leadership abilities as well as management of the merchandising itself.**
**PURPOSE OF ROLE**:
As a Senior Merchandiser, you will have dual responsibilities both in managing a suite of categories as well as taking the lead position in managing business and strategic initiatives with our growing portfolio of International and delivery partners.
You will be responsible for the planning, management and delivery of your planograms and projects in line with a fast-paced Trading Calendar.
You will also manage internal and external relationships.
**Your role and responsibilities**:
- Create Planograms that drive sales and profitability whilst maintaining customer choice.
- Achieving a distinct point of difference across the relevant product categories through the manipulation of space and range.
- Seek every opportunity to maximise the return from space whilst maintaining planogram aesthetics and minimising changes within retail.
- Manage the relationship between Merchandising and Floor Planning with the International / Delivery Partner business, owning and delivering key strategic initiatives across all category temperature bands from concept to launch.
- Work in close collaboration with your colleagues to deliver business initiatives and strategy plans, and further cross-functional departments to ensure successful deployment in store, communicating and engaging with cross functional teams throughout the process.
- Support the Grocery Merchandising Manager in driving the business agenda across all Merchandising aspects.
**QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE**:
- Able to demonstrate experience with office systems that would benefit the role
- Good analytical and numerical skills
- A flexible approach to the working environment and able to demonstrate the ability to respond to a fast moving, rapidly changing market and business.
- Experienced in influencing and communicating at a variety of levels
- Able to manage a number of projects effectively
