Internal Sales Account Manager

An opportunity has arisen for an Internal Sales Account Manager to join one of the UK’s leading suppliers of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and corporate workwear. Along with a salary of up to £30,000 per annum, you will also receive an annual bonusof £5,000 (if reached 100% of achievable target), an uncapped commission scheme (once target met), 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, a pension scheme and onsite parking.
This role is specifically targeted as the smaller end of the client portfolio; customers typically purchasing between £25,000 - £100,000 of PPE per annum. You will be identifying, targeting and securing new business, and developing and growing existing business.The role is 40% managing existing customers, 40% growing new business, and 20% assisting on larger accounts.
**As Internal Sales Account Manager, your responsibilities will include**:
- Taking responsibility for the development of allocated SME accounts. Both current and lapsed (approx. 400 existing and 400 lapsed customers).
- Qualifying leads generated through the website, inbound telephone calls, and other enquiries including engaging with customers of prospects by telephone.
- Communicating the business’ unique Customer Value Proposition - building the SME customer base and migrating existing customers to the ecommerce platform.
- Recording all sales and customer care activity on the CRM system.
- Liaising wit the marketing team to grow the ecommerce function/online sales.
**We are looking for an Internal Sales Account Manager who has the following skills and experience**:
- Previous B2B Sales/Account Management experience
- Experience working in oil/gas, logistics, manufacturing, or any sector where safety and PPE is critical.
- Spoken and written English to a high standard.
- Educated to at least A level, or equivalent.
- Fluent in the use of Microsoft Office technology.
- The ability to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance, e.g., gross margin percentages and calculations.
- A full UK driving license.
You will be working Monday-Friday, 08:30-16:30, but they are flexible with this. Once trained, it is normal for Account Managers to work 4 days in the office, and 1 day from home.
