Time Appointments are excited to be working on behalf of a world-leading shipping company based in Ipswich who are looking for a Shipping Sales & Account manager to join their team This is a very high profile role that is super exciting, leading some of the 6 top clients within the business portfolio. You will be expected to travel, and there is a great package on offer including company car, mobile phone, private health and dental.In this role, you may be staying away 1 night a week. **Key Responsibilities**: - High level account management, developing opportunities by customer - Focus on TEU growth, profitability, upselling of all products and client profiles - Regular reporting of customer performance - Tracking the business to ensure delivery of budget expectations - Extensive UK travel and some international travel, along with client entertainment - Collaborating with Trade, wider sales team and supporting business units - Proactive client contact to promote relationships and update on new services and products in line with overall strategy - Meet agreed KPI’s including opportunity pipeline and CRM updates - Contribute to a positive work climate through a flexible attitude to work, supporting colleagues and brand values - Manage individual performance, instigating and implementing improvement plans to create a high-performance culture - Set and work out budgets for specified accounts for both Exports and Imports **Skills & Experience Required**: - Minimum 2 years’ experience in shipping / logistics - Proven record in sales and Key Account Management - Drive to build relationships with current client base whilst increasing the portfolio of accounts and new customers - Previous experience in setting and working to budgets - Proactive, analytical, results driven with ability to manage deadlines - Communicator and sound negotiator at all levels and can track and "hunt" potential new business - Excellent verbal, written communications, and presentation skills with data analysis - A positive attitude to solving business issues, working closely, and collaborating with departments across the whole business - Microsoft programme skills (to include Excel and PowerPoint) would be beneficial This is a fantastic opportunity to step up your career and work for a prestigious company who offer unbeatable benefits Please contact us today if you think you are the National Customer Development Manager we are looking for
