The North West Unit covers a huge area of Scotland, from Thurso and Wick in the very north of the Highlands down to Campbeltown in Argyll and Bute, from Uig on Skye to Perth and Stirling in the central belt.

This is a fixed-term contract (maternity cover) for up to 12 months.

**Responsibilities and activities**:
Assist the Electrical Manager in the process of daily planning of cyclic maintenance. This will include:

- Process faults within our inventory and fault management system and Prepare Design Reactive Operation files to the appropriate standard.
- Coordinate repair of faults in accordance with contract time scales and provide closure within our CMS and Inventory management system.
- Prepare performance indicator reports on Category 1 repairs.

Assist the Design Team Leader in maintaining and updating data associated with street lighting and electrical installations on AMPS:

- Monitoring and recording maintenance operations.
- Monitoring and updating inspection programmes.
- Recording defects.
- Assisting with the design of reactive repairs.

Preparing and issue sub-contract instructions to relevant contractors as required.

Assist Electrical manager with ensuring keeping the competency of the electrical department up to date.

Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures that form part of BEAR’s Integrated Management Systems.

Assist the Electrical Manager, Electrical Design Leader, Operating Company Representative and BEAR Directors with other duties as required.

**Knowledge, skills and experience**:

- Health and safety awareness.
- IT literature (Microsoft Office).
- Excellent organisational skills.
