**Salary Range**:up to £50,000

**Hours**:39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 07.15am to 4.00pm and Friday 07.15am to 12.15pm.

**Department**

The Production team is based across two manufacturing facilities both based in Glasgow. A 3,200m2 industrial unit in Westway and a 900m2 factory located at the company’s HQ in Thornliebank. Operating a 5S workshop that is Health & Safety Accredited, the team maximise pre-installation package units manufactured by our multi-skilled workforce and delivered directly to the site supported by Management, QHSE and Admin team.

**The Role**

**Key Duties**
- Conduct inspections of package pipework skids, steelwork assemblies and components during the package manufacture process to ensure compliance with piping and welding industry standards, engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
- Perform visual inspections, measurements, and functional tests to identify defects, deviations, and non-conformities.
- Document inspection results, track non-conformities, and provide detailed reports to the relevant stakeholders.
- Work closely with the engineering and production teams to address quality issues, provide feedback, and support continuous improvement.
- Participate in the resolution of quality-related problems and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate and up-to-date quality records and documentation.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhere to safety regulations, and follow best practices for quality control.
- Responsible for conducting final inspections of completed products to verify that all quality requirements have been met before shipment.
- Ensure all work performed adheres to ISO 9001:2015 quality framework.
- Experience in implementing 5S principles in the workplace for maintaining lean manufacture, cleanliness, and efficiency.

**Responsibilities**

Key duties include a range of responsibilities, which include but are not limited to;
**People and Processes**
- Maintain 5S standard in Production facilities
- Implement quality assurance standards
- Comply with company procedures and standards
- Identify improvement opportunities in working practices and documentation

**Customers**
- Perform visual inspections, measurements, and functional tests to identify defects, deviations, and non-conformities throughout the build
- Participate in the resolution of quality-related problems and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Pre-dispatch check/final sign off of packages
- Ensure completion and retention of quality related paperwork as required by the company or customers
- Work within ISO 9001 & ISO 45001 framework and participate in audits and perform internal audits
- Liaise with suppliers regarding any quality issue that may arise
- Liaise with all departments to embed a collaborative lessons learned approach

**Financial**
- Minimise rework in manufacture by implementing preventive action/lesson’s learned
- Reduce field reports, rework, snags and guarantee costs by adopting the PDCA process
- Maintain component traceability in package and vessel assemblies
- Carry out production audits and participate in external audits
- Improve standards of documentation and record keeping

**Technology**
- Implementing and lead 5S best working practices including conducting audits
- Identify scope for improvement opportunities - PDCA
- Report any process and procedure non-conformances
- Schedule, implement and manage Production tasks for our ISO9001 Quality Management System

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Previous experience as a QC Co-ordinator/Inspector or similar role in a manufacturing environment for factory built modular skids.
- Knowledge of quality control processes, inspection techniques, and testing methods.
- Preferably a vast knowledge in the pipework fabrication /welding industry.
- Familiar with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to identify and resolve quality issues.
