Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) within Nottinghamshire Healthcare are at the forefront of a range of multi-disciplinary, specialist services for people with complex needs, using their expertise around promoting recovery, enablement and positive risk taking, to add life to years, prevent relapse and reduce risks. Within Nottinghamshire Healthcare we have two Associate Directors for AHPs with oversight and responsibility for 10 different professions across 3 divisions of Community Health, Mental Health and Forensics, representing a 1000 strong AHP workforce of registered and support staff from a variety of professional identities, cultures and practice traditions.

An exciting opportunity to join us as Deputy Associate Director for AHPs has arisen for a registered AHP, recognised as one of the 14 allied health professionals.

The successful post-holder will be enthused about the future opportunities for all AHPs across the Trust. In addition to working closely with the AHP workforce, and Associate Directors for AHPs, the post holder will work collaboratively with senior Divisional colleagues, Workforce, Associate Directors as well as the Deputy Director of Nursing and Executive Director of Nurses, AHPs and Quality. They will also be opportunity to work together with Chief AHPs and Leads across the Nottinghamshire ICS footprints.

This post will enable and support the delivery of key national and Trust priority work areas through diverse clinical leadership. It will promote AHP engagement, ensuring AHPs contribute to and influence decision-making, and are integral to building sustainable relationships and stewardship for the Trust. Key areas of work will be the AHP workforce, building capacity and capability for the future, expanding AHP Education and AHP Continuous Quality Improvement.

Applicants must be HCPC registered as one of the 14 recognised AHPs. As outlined in the job description and person specification they will have a proven track record of AHP leadership and extensive knowledge of contemporary AHP drivers, policy and practice, alongside considerable experience of project management and quality improvement.

They will have experience of effective partnership working with a range of agencies and stakeholders and leading change. They will visibly demonstrate the ability to lead and motivate others with excellent communication skills.

The successful post-holder will share our Trust values and be highly motivated to lead the AHP agenda.

A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
