Headquartered in Italy, Leonardo has over 45,000 employees, of which 7,000 are based in the UK.As MRP Controller, based at our Helicopters site in Yeovil, you will be joining a small but established team, reporting to the MRP Manager. You will range manage and procure contracted parts via Purchase Orders ensuring best price, lead-time and quantity. - You will be the technical owner of a specific range of Material Requirements Planning functions whilst further developing experience in all aspects of the role.Your principle accountabilities:
- Place Production Orders for in house manufactured parts
- Process and control Service Management Orders for R&O activity
- Action Quality Notifications
- Operate an on loan system to provide assets to rig, A/C programmes
- Run MRP reporting tools and act upon the data outcomes
- Review and report on progress and status of work to provide clear statements of position, issues and actions.
- Monitor and expedite mod kit and repair list shortages
- Provide kits and shop support to onsite and offsite modification and repair embodiments
- Under guidance, amend / update SAP Material Master Data
- Under guidance, amend / update Operative Networks and schedule requirements
- Under guidance, allocate components to ensure best use of company assets
- Under guidance, process Purchase Orders for Range Managed parts and Offload Orders
- Under guidance, release Purchase Requisitions as purchasing authority to procurement
- Under guidance, procure parts from interplant suppliers

- Educated to HNC level or equivalent in an Engineering discipline or demonstrated equivalent competency obtained through experience
- Integrity and professional approach
- Background in an Aerospace or high integrity manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of Company Quality Systems
- Computer literate
- Team worker who is customer focused
- Knowledge of assembly and/or manufacturing techniques
- Good communicator
