**Business Intelligence Developer**

We are looking for an enthusiastic, data professional to join us to shape the future of Business Intelligence at Benenden.

We are modernising our data landscape, moving onto a dynamic Azure platform. The successful applicant should be proactive and a great communicator, someone who is willing to suggest new ways of working and move them forward.

With a large variety of tasks, no two days are the same. You will be working with all departments, at all levels of the business. The role covers you will cover all stages of the BI lifecycle, Requirements gathering, ETL design, data modelling, report deliveryand dashboard creation.

This is a hybrid working role, with the expectation of coming to the York office to meet with the team and key stakeholders on a weekly basis.

**The post holder will**:

- Gather, understand and interpret business requirements into useful outputs
- Influence and advise stakeholders, providing recommendations
- Develop ETL processes using Kimball methodology to translate data into business-friendly terms and populate the Data Warehouse
- Design data models and theoretical data structures to satisfy reporting requirements
- Develop simple to understand reporting objects that can be understood and utilised by non-technical power users across the business
- Build data visualisations & reporting using tools such as Microsoft Power BI to create valuable, interactive BI
- Ensure business users have the information and context to fully understand data, enabling critical decision making that supports delivery of the business plan

**Skills and experience required**:

- Relevant experience in a BI Role
- Strong SQL skills
- Hands on experience with ETL tools
- Ability to interpret requirements from various stakeholders and offer practical solutions
- Experience using reporting software to Visualisation
- Ability to communicate with all areas of the business
- Experience with Azure Components eg Synapse, Power BI, Data Factory (Desirable)
