Rota Coordinator

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Rota Coordinator role within Long Term & Unscheduled Care Directorate (LTUC).
You will work in a small team liaising with Consultants, GPs, junior doctors and the management team.
The post holder must ensure the provision of high quality patient care by efficiently deploying junior medical staff in the Long Term & Unscheduled Care Directorate.
It will be necessary to have a daily overview of the activities of all junior and middle grade medical staff within the directorate, anticipate problems and autonomously resolve situations expediently.
This job involves working with and supporting the Service Manager within the Directorate to provide a comprehensive administration service ensuring adequate cover is provided at all times.

The post holder will be responsible for the co-ordination of junior and middle grade medical staff across Directorate. Specifically, the post holder will compile and disseminate rotas for the directorate’s medical staff, and act as a single point of contact for the juniors and middle grades
The post holder will provide day-to-day support for the junior and middle grade medical staff within the Long Term Unscheduled Care Directorate.
The post holder must communicate tactfully and persuasively with all Managers, Medical Staffing Officers and all medical staff within the Directorate to maintain appropriate cover for all aspects of the Directorate’s medical services at all times. This includes co-ordination of all junior and middle grade medical staff’s annual leave and arranging cover at short notice for sick leave and special leave.
The post holder will work closely with the General Managers, Service Managers and Medical Staffing.
