The Cash Management team is a customer focused processing team tasked with ensuring all processing and payment functions are carried out in an accurate, efficient and timely manner, in accordance with agreed timescales. This section of the Financial Service Centre is responsible for making all payments for the National Trust, processing volunteer claims and processing bank downloads. In addition, the team deal with all tasks relating to the management of the National Trust Payment Card and Fuel card programmes, along with the Onebill Group Account.

We are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to ensure maximum efficiency within our day-to-day processes and tasks.

Please note internally this role is known as Cash Management Clerk and this is reflected in the attached role profile.

What it's like to work here:Based in Trowbridge our Finance Service Centre process a wide range of financial transactions for the National Trust. It’s a hugely important and busy function that helps us deliver great service. This vital operation is key in supporting our core purpose, so it’s nice to be part of something so important and worthwhile.

Your contractual location will be Epsom Court. We are currently operating a hybrid working schedule structured around three days in the office and two days working at a flexible location.

What you'll be doing:As part of the National Trust Cash Management team, you’ll work all areas of the team to ensure that a smooth workflow is achieved. You'll be trained and work across several systems and ensure that accurate processing and timely payments are made in compliance with National Trust policy, contracts, controls, and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).

- Experience in Accounts Payable (Purchase to Pay - P2P) financial accounting practices and its impact on other areas
- Numerical accuracy
- Prioritisation skills, whilst also maintaining attention to detail and working to strict deadlines
- Ability work accurately with and interpret financial data
- Ability to information gather
- Adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- IT skills including Microsoft Office and experience in the use of Finance ERP packages
