**HR Manager**

The Air Ambulance Service provides two very important functions, Helicopter Emergency Medical Services (HEMS) and The Children's Air Ambulance which provides paediatric transfers across the UK. Our objective is to save lives, utilising specialist pilots, doctors, and paramedics and with our work centred on saving lives, improving clinical outcomes and being able to react quickly and efficiently to emergencies.

We are at the forefront of innovative clinical care, and we challenge boundaries. None of this can be achieved without a hugely dedicated team of colleagues, volunteers, and the general public.

Reporting to the Head of HR the role of HR Manager is both tactical and strategic in its intent. This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) is based at the Charity HQ in Rugby, with up to 3 days home working and travel to other operational sites.

**Role Responsibilities**:
Operational delivery of recruitment for Band 4 roles and above (£30,000+), including writing JD's, adverts, and interviews
End-to-end delivery of all HR processes & services
Organisational job design, pay and staffing structures
Management of two outsourced monthly payrolls to ensure they are delivered in a timely & accurate manner
Develop & review standard processes & ways of working, maintain accessible & up to date catalogue of HR policies & 'how to' guidelines
Provide guidance to management and staff on HR processes
Lead on people-related regulatory responses
Ensure high standards of governance are set & maintained

**About you**:
**Essential**

Competent HR generalist with a background in a complex professional services organisation
Level 7 CIPD qualified or equivalent
Experienced in employee relations, recruitment and organisational job design
Commercial mindset
Outcome driven
Excellent communicator & effective relationships builder
Experience of managing multiple projects and conflicting deadlines
Experience of developing policies & procedures
Knowledge of current developments in Employment Law;
Genuine interest in the work of TAAS.

**Desirable**

Knowledge of HRIS;
Experience of working in the Charity Sector.
