Cook (Casual)

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. At Flanshaw Residential Care Home, we prioritise providing a well-balanced diet in line with Food Safety legislation, ensuring our residents enjoy delicious and nutritious meals daily. We value teamwork, creativity, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and quality.

What I might be doing?
- Report to Unit Manager.
- Plan menus and order goods to fulfil the menus.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations and Food Safety legislation.
- Optimize the use of materials and equipment for correct and economical usage.
- Monitor meal quality and quantity, maintaining accurate food temperature records and effective stock rotation.

**Essential requirements**:

- Experience in catering for a larger number of customers.
- Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Knowledge of food ordering, budgeting and planning menus.
