**Who you’ll be supporting & more about the role**:
**Wakefield Short Breaks Service**
- We support a wide range of individuals for short periods of time, providing respite care from 1 night to a couple of weeks at a time
- In our area, we support around 60 people in total, providing support for a maximum of 8 people at a time across our two 4 bed services.
- Each person we support has an assessment of needs before they come to stay, which ensures we can provide person-centred support which meets their needs
- We support adults from 18 upwards
- The people we support are fantastic individuals and require support tailored to their own needs. We support people with learning disabilities, complex health needs, physical disabilities, challenging behaviour and autism
- We are a bright and fun bunch of individuals. We have a dedicated team in each service.
- Our team is trained in moving and positioning (including hoists), emergency first aid, positive behavioural support (PBS), epilepsy and buccal midazolam and PEGs

**Other information**
- Our standard shifts run from 7am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm / 7am - 10.30am / 3pm - 10pm
- We have sleepover shifts from 10pm - 7am and waking nights from 10pm - 8am
