As a **Trainee Security Officer** in **Hereford County Hospital**, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of patients, staff, and visitors as well as the hospital facilities. **What you’ll do**:

- Welcome and assist staff, visitors, and patients while ensuring compliance with hospital security protocols.
- Manage communications by logging and transferring calls, conveying messages, and providing directions and security guidance to visitors, staff, and contractors.
- Conduct regular patrols throughout the hospital premises to ensure a safe and secure environment during the shift.

**What you bring**:

- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with staff, contractors, visitors, management, and emergency services such as local police and fire departments.
- Possesses a full, valid driving license, enabling efficient mobility as needed.
- Excellent communication skills and situational awareness, essential for ensuring the safety and security of hospital staff and visitors.
- Proven experience in security roles, preferably within healthcare or similar high-demand environments.
- Knowledge of security procedures, emergency protocols, and techniques tailored to site-specific and local safety requirements.
