We are currently recruiting for an experienced Classroom assistant to support our learners to achieve English, Maths and ICT qualifications. You will support us in offering young people an overall learning experience that prepares them for the ability to function and progress successfully in adult and working life.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Provide high quality support and training for young people with a range of mild to moderate learning difficulties and/or disabilities, supporting the tutor in the classroom.

Create individual learning to meet learner needs and ensure support plans are prepared prior to learners attending, which are linked to overarching Schemes of Work and lesson plans.

Support individualised learning, focusing on English and Maths and employability skills development to all learners, with an awareness of all relevant English and Maths qualifications (Free Standing, Functional Skills, GCSE)

Embed and deliver Maths and English following the Study Programme ethos, ensuring learners develop an awareness of employability skills, vocational opportunities and PSD issues whilst acquiring key Functional Skills.

Identify opportunities to develop skills at the appropriate levels to support the learners’ ability to work confidently, effectively and independently in life and work.

A minimum of 1 years' experience in supporting learners in a classroom environment.

A proven track record of supporting young people to achieve.

Previous experience of working with learners who have an EHCP would be beneficial.

**Contract length**: Permanent, Part-Time,

**Hours**: 28hrs per week - Mon-Thurs

**Salary**:Up to £21,000 pa, pro rota (depending on experience & qualifications)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Teaching Assistant: 1 year (preferred)
- TA 16-19 yrs: 1 year (preferred)
