**LET’S CUT STRAIGHT TO IT**:
**Want to do the best work of your life? Playing your part in making a big difference to the environment and communities we serve. Our people make Severn Trent a truly exciting and inclusive place to work - a place where you can be yourself and let your skills shine.**
We pride ourselves as being champions of our environment and are nationally recognised as being one of the best water companies when it comes to looking after our rivers. Sound good? Read on.
As a Site Operator it’s not just about operating a sewerage plant and pumping stations, you’ll protect and enhance our regions environment, whilst providing an essential service to the community.
Working within our forward-thinking Waste Water Recycling department the role will be to safely operate and maintain a diverse range of equipment at Sewage Treatment works/Sewage Pumping Stations over a large geographical area. This work is largely outdoors in all weathers and vehicles and PPE are provided. Severn Trent has a massive focus on Health & Safety; therefore, it is expected that you’ll practice these initiatives and ensure that Health & Safety of colleagues, visitors and members of the public is excellent at all times. The role will be based in Hinkley and the surrounding area.
**LET’S TELL YOU MORE**:

- Demonstrate positive attitudes and behaviours.
- Flexible approach, with the ability to react quickly and efficiently to changes on any given day or over the course of the job role
**WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR**:
Having experience in Wastewater Treatment or Sludge Treatment process knowledge would be beneficial but not essential. There will be times where you’ll be working alone therefore it is imperative that you are a self-driven and able to complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner. You’ll also be able to deliver key messages to the wider team as and when needed. Someone who is reactive, and a critical thinker would also be advantageous as there will be many situations where you must be able to work on your own initiative. A full UK driving licence is essential.
Of course, it’s important that we attract the right skill sets, and those with the right experience but we value character, positivity and a caring attitude in equal weight.
We want people who show up and roll their sleeves up. Restless spirits who are ready to be part of something bigger, who care, who really care... because when you really care, you’ll go above and beyond. When you really care you don’t just talk about it, you do more.
We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We employ thousands of people from across our community who really care about what they do. Because that is how we do what we do.
And when it comes to inclusion, we’re making sure we keep up the progress with our wonderful working groups - LGBTQ+, Women in Operations & STEM, Disability and Ethnicity; who help us do just that.
