Overview of a Legal Assistant (Commercial)
Pertemps have an exciting opportunity within Harrow Council for a self-driven and motivated Legal Assistant within a Commercial setting to join an expanding team. The role of Legal Assistant (Commercial) has a competitive pay rate of £13.02 per hour to £15.84per hour. Other benefits include excellent training and support for career development and 21 days holiday (excluding Bank Holidays).
The Main Purpose of Legal Assistant (Commercial):

- To contribute to the management and strategy of the department so that it operates and develops in line with Harrow Council’s priorities and customer requirements
- To provide clear and accurate advice to clients in person, on the telephone and in writing
- To have conduct of routine cases including property, planning, regeneration, contracts and procurement matters, with appropriate mínimal supervision
- As appropriate to represent clients in court, tribunals, panels and external meetings
About you, the successful Legal Assistant (Commercial) will have:

- General knowledge of English law, practice and procedure in property, planning, regeneration, contracts and procurement areas
- Previous experience working in a legal environment
- To be able to provide written and oral legal advice and guidance to officers/clients
- To be able to conduct a caseload with minimum supervision covering at least one of the following areas: property, planning, regeneration, contracts and procurement matters;
