**CAD Engineer**

Search are proud to be working with a exciting company on their search for a CAD Engineer to join their growing facility based in Newton Aycliffe. This role is a permanent opportunity. Monday to Friday day shift. Your primary purpose of the role is to preparesystem specification drawings & component drawings.

**Responsibilities**
- To support Associate Technical Director to deliver strategic objectives of BTS Facades and Fabrications.
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders within BTS and external clients including customers.
- To prepare system specification drawings & component drawings. Manage modifications of drawings as required.
- Dealing with and supporting customers with technical enquiries.
- To participate in and support offsite system testing as and when required.
- Office based but will involve an element of travel to support project delivery.
- Occasional visits to construction sites, suppliers and test centres will be required.

**Experience**
- Minimum HNC mechanical or civil engineering.
- CAD 2D 3D Solidworks, AutoCAD, Inventor.
- Knowledge of thermal or acoustic building envelope calculations an
- advantage.
- At least 2 years experience within the rainsceen / façade industry
- Practical knowledge of metal rainscreen and other façade systems.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
- Working knowledge of construction site installation methods and practices including CDM regulations.
- Working knowledge of relevant building regulations including Approved documents.
- Understanding of relevant façade system testing including CWCT, British and EN standards
