Our client, a local authority based in Newbury are looking for a Project Engineer to join their team. This is on a temporary ongoing contract basis.

The purpose of the role is to:

- Deliver works and maintain sewerage and related water infrastructure
- Responsible for the operational efficiency and water infrastructure maintenance
- Operation of wastewater treatment facilities; monitoring plant performance; asset maintenance responsibilities; undertaking of feasibility studies; design work; project management and the delivery of all existing and new wastewater infrastructure
- Provide expertise and give advice to team leader, service manager and head of service, regarding water and sewerage engineering and infrastructure matters.
- Develop and implement solutions for operational and engineering problems on sewerage infrastructure.
- Identify urgent matters requiring special or immediate intervention and determine appropriate action.
- A degree/HND or equivalent would be ideal but not essential.
- Previous experience of Water infrastructure management/water treatment works.
