Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the analysis and delivery of timely and accurate financial information..

**Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities**
- To maintain strong cash controls including full bank and card reconciliations on a weekly basis for all stores.
- Review and report on paid out amounts at a store level
- Posting of bank transactions on a daily basis, investigating all entries as required.
- Responsibility for purchase ledger payments, including weekly payment runs. Ensure understanding of purchase ledger process to be able to assist purchase ledger team as required.
- Responsibility for sales ledger account maintenance, including raising invoices and credit control of these sales invoices.
- Understanding of all balance sheet codes and the process that is needed for each balance.
- To maintain the debt ledger for home news delivery customers.
- Preparation of debt analysis on a weekly basis to show ageing and level of debt outstanding by store.
- Handle disputed bills and support stakeholders with ad-hoc queries on outstanding amounts.
- Supporting ad hoc reporting as required to support the Management team.

**Finance **Specifics**
- Good commercial awareness, preferably in a retail environment.
- To utilise strong excel skills to drive continuous improvement in reporting processes.
- Experience of working in a Finance team.
