**About the role**

At the John Lewis Partnership we are committing to grow in new areas of financial services where we are trusted and which fulfil customers’ needs.

The Partnership credit card is the UK’s biggest retail credit card. We’re committing £100m over five years to quadruple this business, offering new products and services like savings and insurance, where trust really matters for customers.

As a People Partner Financial Services, you will ensure the Partnership has the right people capabilities, organised in the right way, to deliver the Partnership Plan, now and in the future. You’ll work with senior leaders as a core member of their team, to increase their personal and team effectiveness helping them optimise organisational performance and create the conditions for success.

You’ll make sure the Financial Services function understands the strategic priorities of the teams you support and you’ll collaborate with the centres of expertise and delivery teams to make sure appropriate support and resources are lined up to help deliver their strategy.

Coaching and challenging leaders, individually and collectively, to support their development as role models of the Partnership’s desired leadership practices and behaviours.

You will also collaborate with the central people teams to provide the support, direction and expertise required to make a meaningful impact to your business area

Working with the Senior Talent Partner, together you’ll be the critical link between the leaders you support and the Financial Services function.

**Essential Skills**
- Financial Services experience, and have worked in a regulated environment
- Experience of FCA work to set up a regulated function
- You’ll be brilliant at joining the dots
- You’re comfortable with ambiguity, able to be pragmatic and outcome orientated
- Previous HR Business Partnering experience is important to be able to get going quickly in role
- Previous experience working through complex organisations and organisational change
- Previous experience of influencing at Director level
