Marketing Coordinator

**Marketing Coordinator (12 month contract)**

- **Salary**:up to £25-30k depending on experience
- **Type**:Full-time, 37 hours per week

Dovetail and Slate are recruiting on behalf of a leading education provider based in South Shields.

The role delivers commercially-focused marketing projects and events in line with agreed marketing plans and budgets, to raise the College's profile, strengthen brand and support the achievement of the College's recruitment targets.

**Main Duties**:

- Effectively co-ordinate and manage specific internal and external events associated with marketing support
- Work closely with senior marketing leads to deliver integrated marketing activities to achieve College service level KPl's
- Lead on specific projects that will require effective collaborative working with a wide range of staff throughout the College and with external including corporate businesses, partners, SMEs and community leaders
- Effectively manage internal and external supplier relationships and event logistics (e.g. venues, catering, transport, entertainment, audio-visual requirements) where required
- Obtain, asses and monitor costs and quotations for print work merchandise and any other relevant jobs required by the Head of Marketing
- Make recommendations and work with the Head of Marketing to develop and use systems and processes to effectively track and evaluate events and projects

**Other Duties**:

- Demonstrate an enterprising, creative and integrated approach to marketing which spans the marketing mix, including traditional, digital and social media channels and evolving technologies
- Produce timely processes and evaluation reports when required
- Assist in the production of specific annual and one-off print materials for prospective and current students and parents as well as generic marketing materials such as posters and postcards. This will involve liaising with staff from other departments;subbing and proofing text, and where necessary writing or rewriting; and working with internal and/or external designers to ensure work is delivered on time and to specification
- Help to maintain the external-facing website
- Actively follow new trends and best practice digital media both in Further Education and in the broader market and make recommendations for further developments that would benefit College's student and prospective student communications
- Creating artwork for use on social media channels and in print as part of marketing

**Requirements**:

- Proven knowledge and experience of traditional and digital marketing practices and
- Understanding of the basic principles of brand strategy and integrated marketing communications
- Proven awareness and understanding of digital trends, emerging technologies and social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn
- Experience of writing for a digital audience as well as in print
- Proficient use of digital skills to create marketing campaigns for social media advertising including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Google and YouTube with experience in writing and editing content for digital channels and press.
- Proven experience of evaluating the results of marketing campaigns
- Proficient in managing online/digital marketing communications and delivering content-led strategies to secure engagement
- Experience of campaign planning and project management experience
- Experience of working with external agencies and managing effective working relationships
